Curious case of my username holding me back.

I feel my username is causing people to fire up their engine and try that untraceable ( at least on lichess) few moves combo. They want me to stay in that below 2000 pool. Am i that bad? Am i being judged here?

You don't get it man @fernandocatolico . Sometimes people just report me i feel based on my username. After that the system pairs me with a bunch of shady players.

@Forking_Good I happen to find your name somewhat amusing. Don't worry--I am not even remotely judging you because of your name. At least you don't have a 2 or 3 after your name. It is something that no one else has picked--this is a good thing in my humble opinion.

Anyway, I would never report you unless you actually did something wrong (which is a whole other ball of wax)...I hope you stay on Lichess for a while. Don't worry about what someone else might or might not think of you. It took me decades to reach a point where I let unwanted comments roll off my back. It's not that I don't care. It is simply that I can't afford to allow things to bog me down anymore. In case you're wondering, I struggle with things daily...not just moral questions, but questions that make me wonder who I really am. Most people can't help me, and the majority of the people who CAN help me must leave me to my own devices...

I have blocked so many people. I am kind of serious. Its been a long time you know but yet i am sort of curious. Pretty old me but I ain't quitting. Not this game. it's not as good as mine. It's been confirmed, by a panel of judges, that "ChessPriyome" is, in fact, the best username on LiChess. And he (me) gives some of the best actionable chess advice on how to study chess, but clearly, does not take his own advice. :)

In the context of Chess, priyome is a russian word приём meaning gimmick or technique, common in Russian chess literature to refer to typical maneuvers used in positions with certain pawn structures or other defining characteristics.

In the LiChess space, it is part of the username "ChessPriyome" which alludes to the genius advice given often in the forums relating to various study mechanics and chess improvement methods, of which I take no advice from, clearly.

Yes, I do play chess, informally. Rarely here, mostly live, always badly, in and around the 1800-2000 level, USCF.
