Why does black resign in this drawing position?

Why does black resign in this drawing position?

I dont understand the question... I dont even see a winning attemp for white. It seems to me that basic defense holds easily.

Yeah, me too can read notation in stockfish analysis.

Open your eyes and take a closer look.

There is no reason for black to resign.

There is no reason for black to resign.

There is no reason for black to resign.

You can close your eyes again, they are useless in your case.

It is a drawn position. Black is stupid to resign it.

You posted the question, so maybe you could explain why you think there is a question...

I did not look at the stockfish notation nor do I need to... Again, how would white even try to win??

Its 2 vs 1 on the kingside, with the defending K in front of the pawns...

If Black was on move, Rd5 obviously insta-draws, so white needs to do "something" NOW!.

What can that be?? He can try to activate his K, but once it reaches the 4th rank, black attacks the g-pawn, and there is no further progress (and that is a textbook draw).... Any trade of the h pawn for the g-pawn will lead to a Philidor defense, and the only configuration where white can threaten to take the h pawn is with the combination of Rg5 and Kh4, but he cannot get the K to h4 first without dropping the f-pawn, and he plays Rg5 first, the Kh6, and Kf4 is met by a check along the 4th rank, insta-drawing.

If there is another winning attempt, I am overlooking it... If there isn't, then robotic basic rook ending skill defense is good enough.

So again, I do not understand the question...

I have looked at the position for about 5-10 minutes, and I have to say I am not 100% sure this is a draw.

White's plan should be to advance his king up to his f pawn and try to push it, then carry out a well timed g3-g4. After the trade of the h- and g-pawns, Black's king will end up cut off on the h file, and Black has to rely on checks. My knowledge of rook endgame theory is lacking so I'm not very confident in my assessment of the resulting position, I assume Black holds with best play. However, this doesn't seem as trivial to me as CG314 claims.

In my eyes, tpr is the only person in this thread who is right. Black has no reason to resign, and should absolutely play on. I speculate that Black resigned because of low time: they thought that they were going to flag anyway.
CG314 is wrong when they say there is no winning attempt, White absolutely has a plan that they can act on to try to win. It might not work, but this does not seem like an open-and-shut draw just yet. And OP, of course, has no reason to talk trash to people after poorly articulating their own original post.
