Have any of you seen a World Championship Match in person?

I haven't, nor do I wish to. I prefer watching it from the comfort of my home.

I have not. If I DID have an opportunity to see a World Championship match in person, there is a strong chance I'd decline the invitation. Besides, what good would it do me? It would be really neat to see a World Championship match, but let's be objective--I don't have what it takes to appreciate top-level chess.

I have and it was fun, you could also spot celebrities (even non-chess celebrities) in addition to watching the game.
It can be hit and miss - you might show up on the day they agree to a quick draw. Or a game that goes on for hours with long thinks per move.
I'm surprised they don't organise a couple of friendly matches on the side, that way spectators have more entertainment. In one of the Karpov v Kasparov matches there was a junior match between Nigel Short and Joel Benjamin.
