You got disliked but practically everybody calls it Elo, even some stricter prescriptivist thinkers should realize that this is a losing battle and you're fighting against the entire chess entertainment industry here (I refer to youtube, streaming, the sort.)
People probably think it sounds insidery and cool. Why not just generically refer to rating?

Are you talking about online ratings?
For the ? to be removed you need a Rating Deviation (RD) or below 120 for regular chess games, and below 110 for variants.
