How many people were in this tournament? I would say that 4th place is not bad.
Yeah, but there were only 3 people in the tournament!

You must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
More seriously: you get rid of fear through exposition.
If you're scared while playing OTB: play OTB until you're not scared anymore.
Progessive exposition tends to be easier, so if you can: go and play otb in a club, or in casual tournaments.
Once you have a few otb games under your belt you'll be less scared because a) you'll realize that you don't blunder that often, and b) when you blunder only your position on the board is damaged. Blundering a bishop is quite different from total obliteration of the self!

To overcome fear of public speaking, a common trick is to picture the audience naked.
I would very much advise against that in a typical chess tournament.

Alright, i am gonna try to be more serious
Chess is just a game and tournaments arent life or death so what i recommend is, try to make drinking water or walking reduce your stress, always look at your progress and say "Omg, i cant believe how much i improved!" and lastly, remind yourself every chess players goes through this, never be scared, we'll always be there for each other
