even 5-10

No. 3 only

i am better then u so you cant be talking

He can’t? Why not?

But seriously you’re not talking about the same thing.
I’d assume Rem means always calculate three moves ahead unless you’re still in prep. And even then that focuses on lines opening up, sacrifices with check etc, you can’t really calculate every pawn push on opposite side of king all the time.

max depth under optimal circumstances is what you refer to.

Nobody can calculate 10 moves ahead if they are not forced and gl finding such sequence without missing a block or a desperado after a quiet move.
I thought I found M5 in rapid and my opponent obliged, only we both missed two blocks, so it should’ve been M7.

If the moves are forceful enough, Super GM sometimes deliver m10 or more.
But you have three blocks in there and still it basically never happens.

In my experience, your rapid rating is the most significant for your chess rating in general. So it is the best thing to do to play rapid, as chessfriend tpr put it. And over 1800 is very good rating. (exc, for my bad english).

Thanks a lot
