What the title says.
When analysing a past game, is it possible to have the computer continue from a given point in order to explore diffeent lines of play? If so, how does one do that here on lichess?

Isn't that just the analysis board? Go to your game, request a computer analysis, and see what the computer says about your games. The engine will tell you the best moves.

Use the 'Board Editor' You can set up a starting position, and then you can click 'continue from here', and then play against the computer. -:]

It all seems kind of clumsy and I guess I have to move the computer pieces myself.
No complaints.

You can go to any point in the game via the analysis board, click the menu with the three horizontal bars and select continue from here.
This way you don't have to move stuff by hand OR set a position up by hand.

Actually, instead of clicking on the three lines, clicking on the little circular icon that looks like a target, toward the left, will let you continue against the computer. That's exactly what I was looking for.
But now the question becomes, what level computer will I be playing against? There's an "Engine Setting" button at the upper right, but the only options are Stockfish 19, 14 and 11, all of which seem really high for me, as I usually only play at level 3.
And now that I've written all that, it occurs to me that, hopefully, the analysis board and all the other options are not available during actual gameplay, since this would make it possible to cheat, simply by following the computer's moves.

It is rumoured that some consult the engine during play. All you have ho do is open a second board and see the suggested move. This violates the terms of service.

That's what I was afraid of.
Thanks for all your answers.
