I was playing a rapid game on Lichess, and this was the position. I knew I was lost (I was white), but I kept playing counting on my opponent not knowing the sequence to checkmate with a knight and a bishop. In the position showed in the picture, the system automatically called it a draw by insufficient material. I was obviously happy, since it meant I didn't lose, but why did it call it "insufficient material"? Isn't it a known fact that knight and bishop can checkmate? Thank you all in advance for your answers!

Black pushed the draw button and the result was an automatic draw, like in the case described in
https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/2-knights-against-king-why-draw-claimed-with-insufficient-material#XXC9a1c6.
Such effect should be obtained by pushing the resignation button if someone wanted to follow FIDE rules here.

Why is the link given above referring to 2 knights? The player with the black pieces had a bishop and a knight. Hmmm...or is that just given as an example of a draw? Oh, I just clicked the link. Sorry. I see why you used the link. Forget my post...
