I estimate there's a roughly 0% chance this game will be chosen as the best game of the month. This is because it was very short (only 16 moves). But it turned out to be such a good game, so I'm still submitting it to the competition.
Why did I choose this particular game for the competition? Because two unusual, wonderful things happened in it:

  1. The combination is beautiful (and correct)! I would have sacrificed two pieces in a row if my opponent had gone with the main line! I sacrificed a knight. Next, in the main line, I should have sacrificed a bishop. In the main line, my opponent should have captured the knight. And in response, I would have sacrificed a bishop for a pawn with check. This would have resulted in two consecutive sacrifices. But my opponent didn't go with this main line, and therefore lost much faster than he should have with the main line. Both of these piece sacrifices are not only beautiful, but also completely correct!
  2. And the game turned out to be of very high quality! In this game, my stats were as follows:
  • Accuracy: 100% (!!!). This includes: 100% accuracy in the opening, 100% accuracy in the middlegame (!!!), and no endgame (the game was only 16 moves long);
  • Average centipawn losses per move: 2 (!!!);
  • 0 blunders, 0 errors, 0 inaccuracies (this happens relatively often, it's just written here as an addition).

Such a high-quality game was achieved not only due to good play, but also because the game was only 16 moves long (my opponent realized his position was lost and didn't waste time, but resigned immediately). But even for a game of only 16 moves, such high-quality stats are very, very, very rare. For example, as far as I remember, this is only my sixth game with 100% accuracy out of 21,680 games (but the vast majority of them were bullet chess) I've played as of this writing (I've played several hundred games with 97%-99% accuracy, certainly over 500, but with 100% accuracy—this is only my sixth win, as far as I remember). And here it happened after a beautiful combination, with a two-piece sacrifice in the main line (on the board sacrificed one piece, but two pieces have been sacrificed if the opponent had gone with the main line)!

I love crazy games with crazy moves, most of the time they are plain wrong but still a lot of fun. Rarely the crazy moves are the best engine moves (like 28 Rb1 and 34 Bf4 . The finnish could have been better but nevertheless a game I will cherish for a long time.
