New tool for opening study

Hello all,

I (a former world youth champion and FIDE CM) and a friend (a former highly ranked youth player) created the website opening-house.com to help prevent myself from forgetting my prep OTB. It's a free opening trainer where you play out lines to save them, then get quizzed on them until they stick, plus it has a guided path for players that don't have a repertoire quite yet.

Let me know what you guys think; any feedback is welcome. Once again, please visit the website at opening-house.com.

Thanks to all willing to try it!

OKAY. Is it legitable?

I'm not sure what you mean by legitable, but we've had positive feedback from several strong players; a 'testimonials' section will be added to the website soon.

site seems surprisingly decent, would change color scheme and add to the "learn" tab but the focus on one aspect is good. would recommend others to try

Glad to hear it! Will look into changing the color scheme, and additions to the "learn" tab are indeed planned in the near future. Any other feedback on opening-house.com? Once again would appreciate anyone who gives it a try.

This page needs a small chess library that's loaded from a CDN, and it didn't come through - usually a network hiccup, an ad blocker, or a restrictive network.

Try refreshing the page. If it keeps happening, check whether your browser or network is blocking cdnjs.cloudflare.com.
Well ....my uMatrix doesnt show anything- better let developer fix it...

Let me know ...

not too bad but it is AI generated obv. One thing I would reccomend is to improve the UI and put in the actual SVG code for the pieces like the lichess pieces

Cezrun64 - working on fixing this, please check back in a couple of days
crusader5 - the website was created with help from Claude, we have now put in SVG code and are working on improving the UI (specific suggestions would be helpful). Check it out on opening-house.com
