OGN Chess Studio. Your Lichess, your way. ( Extension Google Chrome )

I've just published OGN Chess Studio, a free browser extension that lets you customize the look and feel of Lichess without touching a single line of CSS yourself.

What it does, in short:

Custom piece sets & board themes — several original piece sets (Resine, Regence, and more) plus dozens of board colors, including photo-real textures (marble, turf...). White/black pieces and light/dark squares tintable independently.
Premium annotations — redraw arrows and highlights with two distinct styles (solid or segmented), auto-coloring by modifier key (Shift/Ctrl/Alt), and move-sequence numbering to show a line of moves.
Zen mode — hides everything but the board, clocks and material advantage for a fully distraction-free game, with a decorative wooden frame around the board.
Custom clock & interface styling — recolor the clocks, choose their font, and restyle the end-of-game panel and side panels to match.
A proper end-of-game screen — result, rating changes for both players, win-streak badge, and a one-click "share game" image export.
Bilingual UI — French and English, switchable anytime.
Everything is 100% local: no account, no data collection, no server — every setting just lives in your own browser. Full permissions breakdown is in the privacy policy if you're curious.

Feedback, great job, I just don't like the design of the rook. Are we able to swap out specific pieces and insert our own? If so, what format? .png, .svg?

Thank you very much. I think that's the next thing I'll be working on soon: trying to offer truly premium sets of pieces!

And to answer your question, the .png format is used for the pieces.

I just released an update for the extension. Here’s what’s new:

New game piece sets.
New frames for Zen mode.
Added a widget that gives you an overview of your current session. This widget shows your Elo rating at the start of the session, your current Elo rating, and a history of your games displayed as small bubbles. Your longest winning streak. Useful for streamers, for example, but also for players who don’t stream. You can place this widget anywhere on the screen. You can also change its size, colors, font, and more...

Hello, everyone.
Just a quick note to introduce the update I just released.

First, I revamped the “Current Session” widget.
Now it displays all your opponent’s stats without having to hover your cursor over their username. This lets you see that information instantly.

I also took the time to redesign all my pieces. I removed all the old versions to focus on a single collection that I’ve called Kova. I find the form factor very satisfying to play with, so I’ve started creating several variations to suit all tastes. There will, of course, be more to come eventually. I’ve also created new frames to go with these pieces. And along the same lines, I’ve redesigned the boards so they’ll work well with these new sets. (That said, you can always change the color of the boards and pieces in the OGN CHESS STUDIO settings.)

I’ve also added a tool that lets you preview your settings directly from the extension. This allows you to customize your games without needing to be logged into Lichess.

Just a quick update. Currently, there are 16 users, including one German GM who gave me some valuable feedback on improvements.
