The links give you a way to put your current rating into perspective.
But look at the gap between the chess ratings and not the origin of the ratings.
The climb toward the top looks simple, but it is not.

The chess ladder is not linear in difficulty.
There are less players as you climb the ladder.

Many people here doesn't realize the point of my question. The question is whether it is possible or not. I've played this game for so long. Probably not as long as you and some others, but I'm fairly knowledgeable about these type of stuff. I've never mentioned something about "constant pace." A person can reach 2200 in two years. Heck, one year some times if they have the talent. So will they reach 4400 if they gave it one more year? Obviously not. That's exactly why I stated the 5 years period. The answer of the question is simply: possible or not. And elaborate why. Maybe a better way to put the question is; Have you ever heard of any person achieving such a milestone after the age of 18?

In over 40 years on the sidelines of the chess scene, I have seen a good number of young adults throw much of their lives away attempting to do this. Loneliness, poverty, unemployment, failed university studies, even suicide. Some reach FM level or something. And even if you get there, it's pretty pointless anyway.
What you are envisioning concretely is approximately Vlad Kramnik's current level online. Knowing nothing more about you than your age and peak rating, it's easy to predict that you very likely are unable to reach that. No adult improver has ever done it.
But presumably the whole chess thing serves an important function in your life. It's a matter of self-worth, most likely. So why take it away? Even the dreams may be necessary for you. It's very human, and big dreams may be vital in keeping us going, even unattainable dreams.
Hope you'll have fun playing, and improving.

You know what? You're so damn right. I'm gonna quit this thing soon and focus on more important stuff. Maybe not quit it, but simply reduce the time greatly. I don't know man, but like reading your comment might've changed my whole career course entirely.
Just gonna say I extremely appreciate your comment dude. I really can't express my gratitude.
It's time to wake up to the actual reality

The problem is we do not know you.
You have no history.
No chess insights
No way to truly measure progress.
The answer should never be a one size fits all or a possible or not.
The longer you remain in a category, the harder it is to get out of it.
That's the answer.
You are the only one that can motivate your self to progress in anything you wish.
So, create a life that reflects who you truly want to become.

"Is it technically possible to climb to such a rating within 5 years"
An FM from my country went from 2200 blitz to 2700 blitz on Lichess in less than 5 years. However, he was about fifteen when he hit 2700.

Hi, first of all, the rating conversion between Lichess and Chess dotcom is not linear, especially at higher brackets. Blitz player is generally equivalent to roughly 1650-1800 on Chess dotcom blitz. This means your goal is not a 800-point climb, it's roughly a 1200-1350-point climb on Chess dotcom. 3000 Chess dotcom blitz is the realm of IMs and GMs: it's the top 0.01% of the platfor...
