The best book on openings is... a data base.
Which openings, do you want depth or breadth?
There are whole books on a sub variation of a variation of an opening e.g. Sicilian Najdorf 6 Be3 or KID Classical 6... Nc6. At the other end are one volume books that cover all openings at a basic level.
Language is not necessary for a chess book if you use Chess Informant.
Pick openings you played the most in rated games and repeat them using the "Woodpecker Method".

It's more than enough for you.
Run fast away from Chess Informant style books. They are not for you.
Thank you guys

For a look at all openings, I have my trusty Modern Chess Openings, which is like a 750 page book of introductions to openings and then lines. Lots of lines. And notes citing master games.
