Hi All,
I hope this is an appropriate place to put this as I am not sure where else to turn. I have an old chess set, probably French Lardy circa 1920 - 1960, boxwood/ebonised boxwood, which is missing two White knights, one Black knight and one Black pawn. I have had it for ages and not even sure where I got it, but I would love to complete the set and use it!
It has a king height of 8cm, so is a tournament size. So far I have only been able to find similar sets that are smaller, also meaning the carving of the knights is not as good. The missing Knights are 5.8cm tall with a 2.8cm diameter base, and the pawn is 4 cm tall with a 2.5cm diameter base. I have put a photo here for reference.

Perhaps you have something that could match? or can help in any way? I am able to send more photos and details if so to try and get something sorted, any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Anthony (@TattooKnight)

German Staunton I would say. I own a smaller set like these that's older than 50 years. Look at these: https://www.houseofstaunton.com/products/the-german-series-chess-pieces-3-0-king?_pos=1&_sid=e5d6566d6&_ss=r and try https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=German+Staunton+chessmen

Your chess set is really nice - the pieces are beautiful and very good quality, so it may be worth getting the missing pieces made. If you google custom wood carving, there are plenty of businesses out there that will take this on. It won't be super cheap, but you will probably spend more money getting new pieces of this quality.

Asking https://mora-play.com might be an option - perhaps they make you the replacement pieces.

The knights are very different - here is a better photo of it - the one I have is an old carving style, probably generic from the era but I always thought of as French origin, though others have said German/Austrian also

Es ist immer ärgerlich, wenn Figuren aus einem schönen Figurenset fehlen. Ich wünsche dir viel Glück bei der Suche. Vielleicht ist es besser du lässt dir die fehlenden Figuren nachmachen.
