I noticed you downvoted my comment about Ken Regan's research.
What part of the methodology due you take issue with?
If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong.
Rating is just a number. There are high-rated players who can play badly on a given day, just as lower-rated players can play some amazing games. That’s why I think it’s better not to underestimate anyone because of their rating — and not to assume someone is better just because they have a higher number.
