As White, Queen's Gambit; as Black, Slav or Giuoco Piano. I play more aggressive openings sometimes too, but these are my favourites. I'm happy with a long slow game.
White:
Queen's Gambit: Immediately fighting for the center and straightforward piece development.
Catalan: Quickly building a fianchetto setup and queenside pressure.
Black:
Caro-Kann: A solid opening based on conquering the center.
King's Indian: Based on preparing an attack on the white king, but sometimes I just take the nice piece coordination and not do the pawn storm.
e4, 1. e5, QGD.
