About the rating dependent time handicap and variants.
I am the tournament director of a small chess club and last summer we did a tournament with time handicaps and variants combined. It has been considered a fun event in the club.

The time handicap is described at the bottom. Astonishingly, despite the quite heavy time handicap and the variants, the usual suspects still got to the top of the ranks. Maybe this year we'll repeat it with even heavier time handicaps.
