I went through the last 150 games of each of the top 100 titled players on Lichess. The Sicilian is the most-played defence by a mile (837 games as Black, Caro-Kann next at 583), scoring 63%. But against the Alapin, Black only scored 47%. Happy to share the full tables if anyone wants them. Curious whether this matches what you see at club level.
