When did you reach 1800+ rating ?

@Break_ToS When i said complete beginner i was not referring to my strength. I was referring to my experience. 1100 is where i started for most time controls i think. I have never been below 1000 on lichess and i was using the chess.com app. I played during all my classes for about 4 days. I was just learning how the pieces moved following the circles on the chess.com app. I learned how to protect my pieces and attack other pieces quickly. This was preparation for chess club which i chose as we were required to join a club that year(chess was not that appealing to me at the time but i knew myself as a good checkers player so why not). The coach at the chess club assign someone to teach me how the pieces move and stuff but i knew those. The person told me that it would take a long time to master checkmate so it wouldn't make sense to show em checkmate but i got the idea. I was just learning en passant, opening principles and a little bit more about castling. After a few days i started checkmating chess.com computer. I blundered a lot but I was an okay attacker for my rating. At 1300 rapid lichess, i played a 1700(loves classical games) who agreed to help me improve my game. At the time i thought i was almost winning but now i realise that
the 1700 was not losing a piece then mate me but it was a sacrifice and mate. And I rose quickly from there.Maybe i was overrated at 1200 because a person i played a lot with was 900 blitz at that point and they introduced me lichess. This was in November of 2019.

November 2019 to November 2020 is not 6-7 months
It is a whole year

It is hard to say how long it took me.

I learned the rules of chess at 10, but didn't play much. I started playing chess online with a rating of about 1300 or 1400. I got to 1600 in about a year (but I did not study much, I just played blitz games).

After a break of a year from both chess and internet, trying out openings OTB a little bit and teaching others the rules, getting more patient - I suddenly jumped to 2000 classical, 2000 rapid and 1800 blitz. It took me about half a year to reach 2000 blitz too.

I know my playing strength is around 2100 on a good day (I lose most games bcs of flagging) which might equal around 1800 FIDE ELO OTB. My goal is to reach 2000 OTB one day and if everything goes well even 2200, but that goal is far away for now. I don't have a real rating now, but that doesn't matter. I know exactly what to do to improve. I need to focus on d4 theory, tactics and endgames.

Hopefully this was any helpful.

@Fowz_2078 your introduction made me laugh hard xD you know both you and @JamariTheGreat are right somewhere. It just depends on the effort you put in. 1800 takes long, but on the other hand it is not really something you could say that it's hard. It's really quite possible for anyone to reach. I agree with @Break_ToS

@Break_ToS to reach 1800. I am 2000 now. 1147 is my national rating though 😂

You were in high 1800s in November (Means after 1 year of starting chess)
