Who is the real GOAT (Greatest of All Time)?

The whole concept of "Greatest of All Time" is simply stupid. Each generation built on the lessons of all the previous generations, making the "All Time" judgement utterly ridiculous if you actually think it through. But "Greatest of Their Generation" ("GOG") doesn't bait the debate as well, so have fun with the unending silliness.

There was rather a large gap between the 1910 matches and Capablanca in 1921. Perhaps, an established challenger system (and an absence of great-war-interruption) would have obliged Lasker to play Rubinstein and/or Capablanca well before 1921. http://www.chessmetrics.com/cm/CM2/MonthlyLists.asp?Params=191020SSSSS3S000000000000111000000000000010100
And now for reactions from reatern and/or chirloker:

IMO my fav is Viswanathan Anand but that's just me. Some other top contenders would include Capablanca, Kasparov, and Karpov. However, they're all good :).
