Yes, but... Take a chess set, part position, find the best continuation.

TAKE A REAL CHESS SET.
Look at your Kg7. Select g7 field.

I'm very glad that a Chesplayer showed this problem and asked the question! This simple example can be used to show how the brains of a chess player differ from the brains of ordinary people.
- When I asked a rational question, he gave an emotional answer. I had to repeat the question a second time so that the player would still give a chess answer.
- When the player has made his move, he waits for the opponent’s response as if a game is in progress. In fact, a good chess player must think for both colors at the same time. This helps save time during the game.
- When I asked him to write moves, he wrote Kg7. Although this square is under the queen's control. I understand what he wanted to say Kf7, but it’s clear that a person has chaos and confusion in his head, it no longer makes any difference to him where to go, this is a sign of fatigue.
- Doesn’t see a mating combination, doesn’t see that checks can be given both on the left (he saw) and on the right (he didn’t see).
- The amount of energy expended by the brain on one task is equivalent to the amount of energy required to achieve the title of grandmaster. The brain of ordinary people does not like to think. For the brain, any new load is torture. It's really hard to think about! Here is one example of a problem. And there are 4 million such examples in the Liches database.
I know what you need to do. But your brain will always resist and refuse to do it.
- Even getting the set and arranging the position turns out to be a complicated and impossible puzzle.
:-)

You cannot blunder in a lost position; a blunder is a move that worsens the position, which is impossible when the position is lost.

I am not aware of RemRus having the authority to give orders. As far as I can tell, the matter was adequately discussed by tpr's #2.

"the matter was adequately discussed by tpr's #2"
- Apparently the original poster did not understand it. RemRus went on with great patience to explain.

The brain is a lazy creature. Over millions of years of evolution, the brain has learned to save energy. To learn how to play chess, a beginner has to force his brain to think. This is very energy-consuming and does not correspond to evolution. Therefore, it is easier for many people to sit on a rating of 800, click on a random figure, click on a random green ball, like a fly. This does not require energy and creates the illusion that a person is doing something smart. Although it’s difficult for him to think one move ahead. Tell your brain to think!!! This is an order for the brain.

Did anyone appoint RemRus as brain-forcer?
