ability to modify analysis inaccuracy/mistake etc thresholds

I feel the analysis can be too lenient for some players or too strict for some players so perhaps add a setting to vary it, maybe make it happen clientside? I've seen someone make client side analyses possible before
Edit: just realised client side analyses were just implemented into lichess :)

The lichess implementation of accuracy/mistake/blunder makes no sense.
Going from +5 to +3 is no blunder or mistake, it may be the most efficient win conversion.
Going from -0.8 to -1.2 is no inaccuracy, it is a mistake (?), going from drawing to losing.

Inaccuracies make no sense.
If a move does not worsen the game state win/draw/loss, then it is not inaccurate.
If a move worsens the game state win/draw/loss, then it is no inaccuracy, but a mistake (?).

My take:
Blunder (??) = going from >1 to <-1 or from <-1 to >1
Mistake (?) = going from between -1 and 1 to either <-1 or >1
Missed win (?): going either from >1 or <-1 to between -1 and 1

I think missing a +3 for a +1 is still a blunder though unless u can convert +1s all the time, and also -0.8 and -1.2 aren't that far apart tbh

"convert +1s all the time"

  • An engine converts +1 50% of the time and draws 50% of the time against itself.
A human will be worse at converting, but also worse at defending.

"-0.8 and -1.2 aren't that far apart"

  • It crosses the boundary between drawing and losing.
