Many end-users from Security Engineering firms I worked complained about things like that, and they are on their right. UX is maybe the first priority when designing and implementing a solution.

As for CloudFlare, the "default settings" for its Anti-DDoS/WAF solution are on the most rigid and strict due to many years leading records regarding denial of service or bots doing data scrapping/Robotic Processes Automation detection and contention.

(Sorry for my Captain Obvious-like "contribuition" for the thread).

[Despite the frequency, CloudFlare's capctchas are the easiest and more reliable and stable, comparing with HumanCaptcha for example.]

It seems to have been stopped. Not really thrilled with organizations with no contact. If Lichess really wants donations doing this type of thing isn't the way to get that. To Lukeysh. small things can be very annoying, especially when there is no good reason for them.

Are you being serious, or is this a troll post?

What a useless post.

I see no reason to talk down on OP, they raise a perfectly valid point. OP is not complaining about the fact that they have to pass human verification. They are annoyed that they have to do it every time they log in to Lichess, which is completely understandable if you ask me, because as OP points out, other players don't have to pass a human verification every time they log in (I know this to be true for myself as well).

Recently EVERY time I login to lichess.org I'm asked if I'm a human being.

Do you log out after every playing session? Lichess has never logged me out automatically (if it does for you then maybe it's a settings thing, I don't know for sure). If frequent CAPTCHAs are annoying for you, you should be able to avoid them by staying logged in after you're done playing on the site.

Are trolls human beings?
(I'm not calling anyone a troll, I just like puns too much.)

Then you probably like blintz too!

I wonder if @iLikePuns likes blitz. (Probably not, considering the fact that they haven't played a single game, blitz or otherwise, in their five years on the platform.)

I do. Also, there is such a thing as “keep me logged in” that prevents this. image.png
It literally only takes five seconds and calling it “abusive” is just a massive overstatement.

A pointlessly repetitive question is a form of abuse. It may be a mild form but it is still abusive. Once asked and answered one time it has no future point to being asked again. It would be like someone you have known for years asking you what your name was over and over again every time they spoke to you. It ceases to be applicable then it ceases to be amusing and it become pointlessly annoying. There is no need for it, yet it is done repeatedly.

Of course there is a reason to being asked multiple times... When I want to look in to a secure system at work, I also get asked for my password EVERY time.... OBVIOUSLY...

You obviously just want attention Your making a big deal out of a 2 second problem? So what if it wastes 2 seconds ? And even if you’re complaining that it happens repeatedly that’s only about maybe a minute or 2 of your life! And just by complaing and spending the time writing and reading complaints and arguments you probably wasted more time then the Am I human captcha ever would have
not to mention wasting others time 2

And have you ever seen anyone else complaing about this ? Probably not! Thats cause most people dont seek attention and they know no one gives a damn about their tiny 2 second problem
