Can we have a way of disabling colored signs and arrows on the board?

I need a way of disabling:

  1. Red and green signs when the game is finished. Red flag or something like that.
  2. Top engine moves (gray arrows) in analysis.

Thanks you.

There is no way to disable the red and green signs on finish.

Lichess calls those gray arrows "Best move arrows" and you can turn them off by following the instructions below. The screenshots were taken on a desktop browser, but on mobile the icons are the same so you should be able to find everything.

Thanks but in puzzles this menu doesn't exist.

Oh right, that's super annoying. You'll have to set engine lines to 0 in puzzles.

I think this speaks of a larger problem, a tiny larger problem, but you get the gist: the inconsistency of page menus. Analysis Board is different from Puzzles which is different from Study and it's different from Game Analysis. There is also the thing with the Move with the Keyboard that is enabled during play, but absent in Study, even if the control to move with the keys is present in Study, for example.

And there is another related issue, in that you might want to have different settings per type of page, so having the toggle for a feature in another page isn't just annoying, it's inconsistent with what you could possibly need.

None of those analysis settings apply to puzzles though. Puzzles don't give you a lot of options.

Engine settings ARE shared, but it's more by accident than design.

Red and green signs when game is finished can be removed if you have an adblocker. Just paste the following into your filter to block them.

lichess.org##.cg-custom-svgs:has( g > g:is( [cgHash*="1774277005"], [cgHash*="2604891415"], [cgHash*="4143857023"], [cgHash*="2647683087"], [cgHash*="1899402066"], [cgHash*="3423973410"], [cgHash*="407266252"], [cgHash*="2737945961"] ))

In an ideal world devs would put a checkbox you can use to disable it but for some reason whoever added it is desperate to force feed it to userbase despite complaints so adblocker is only way round it.

People are missing the point of these new buttons. AFAIK, Lichess is the only chess site where you can close or delete the king after a game.

And unlock new skins for them.

You just cannot get this anywhere else.
