I'm planning to organize some tournaments and have a few questions about the advertising rules.
-
The Events Tips page says tournament advertising is only allowed within your own team or team tournament chats. However, Blog Etiquette explicitly allows promoting events, and Chat Etiquette allows promotion on your profile. Could Events Tips be updated to mention these exceptions?
-
Does the rule against advertising through DMs also apply to personal invitations between friends or team leaders who already know each other, or primarily to unsolicited promotional messages? I found a previous discussion about inviting team leaders, but couldn't find a definitive answer.

Since team battles require multiple teams to participate, what's the intended way to invite other team leaders without violating the advertising rules?
I'm planning to organize some tournaments and have a few questions about the advertising rules.
1. The [Events Tips](https://lichess.org/page/event-tips) page says tournament advertising is only allowed within your own team or team tournament chats. However, [Blog Etiquette](https://lichess.org/page/blog-etiquette) explicitly allows promoting events, and [Chat Etiquette](https://lichess.org/page/chat-etiquette) allows promotion on your profile. Could Events Tips be updated to mention these exceptions?
2. Does the rule against advertising through DMs also apply to personal invitations between friends or team leaders who already know each other, or primarily to unsolicited promotional messages? I found a [previous discussion about inviting team leaders](https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/is-this-against-the-rules), but couldn't find a definitive answer.
