Do cheaters come in waves?

different generations of players come online and others log off.
By observing when different groups of players are active, you can identify the periods that best suit your playing style.

This claim only alludes to different compositions of players being the source of the change in strength that OP is commenting on. You would need to provide actual data to prove this correlation that this composition or strength changes in any meaningful or traceable way.

Like usual, this hand-waving around fair play prevalence in chess quickly falls apart if you apply the claims to any other comparable online game (TF2 / Counter Strike) where the rampant levels of cheating are well documented and overwhelming YoY. The fact that you still have folks strongly defending the efficacy of fair play enforcement on chess sites (1-3% consistent rate YoY) just shows how naive these have been especially over the last few years.

Do cheaters come in waves? No, but whales do.

Do cheaters come in waves

Yes, they do, indeed! Each cheater joins one of the three main engine-usage mafias: the Infiltrators, the Aggressors and the Humiliators. The leaders of these mafias communicate telepathically with one another, and send little carrier-pigeons to their members to organise the time for each strike, which is staggered to give each mafia their own sweet chance for glory!

Do you see how ridiculous your post is, yet?

You would need to provide actual data

Ironic, seeing as you never do whenever you make your outrageous claims.

what are the numbers for users that report that are muted/shadowbanned for reporting by mods

Still salty over being muted for public shaming, are you.
