Draw by insufficient material in Horde

Yes, that topic again!

But this time in horde and 1 ply too early.

Playing against stockfish, in the horde variant position 4kb2/8/5P2/p7/P7/8/8/8 w - - 0 1

White to move. The only move available is 1.f7 leading to 1... Kf7 - stalemate.

But stockfish makes the 1.f7 move and immediately declares draw by insufficient material.
Isn't it strange?

Technically it should say "dead position" instead of "insufficient material", but the timing of the draw is not too early (if anything, the rules say the game is over even before 1. f7+, it's just that Lichess doesn't look far enough ahead to see it): since every move leads to stalemate, neither player can achieve their win condition with any series of legal moves.
