get rid of the trophy

how do I stop the trophy from popping up when I win a game? we could do without the checkmate sign also. there must be a click somewhere that turns them off and on. better for me to figure out for myself when it's mate, and I usually know when I have won the game. all those arrows and lights showing possible moves are also annoying. just the board and the pieces, please.

The end status annotations on kings cannot be disabled, but other elements can be. Go here and see what you can customize:

@gamblej where is that? I can't find that place. do I need to have an analysis board open? or is in in preferences somewhere?

@gamblej okay I found that menu -- but it does not turn off that checkmate # or the trophy or the flag or any other of the annoying symbols that pop up what is "end status annotation on kings"? is that those things I just listed? and why oh why would they add such junk to the display without asking or warning?
