Why can't I create a game that I would play for white? (correspondence game)

because when that feature existed, people abused it by only ever picking one colour. so it was removed.

@withoutname18 why do you abort games where you get black? are you afraid of playing as black? @glbert has already explained why this feature has been removed (because of people abusing it), what is your defense?

the problem is that you are depriving players who want to play the game, by aborting it simply because of your fear of playing as black, or because you want to play solely as white. this is very un-sportsmanlike behaviour for obvious reasons; did you even put a little bit of thought into what you're doing? did you know that you aborted fifty+ games in a row, simply because of that? and the sheer audacity of naming the community and @Viohl as 'toxic' simply for calling you out?

Lichess should support white on white games where both players move first. It's clearly the only way out of this.
