Over at least the past few weeks, it seems VERY frequent that when I go to use Lichess, for something as simple as (1) going into a study, or (2) a puzzle streak or (3) even just submitting this forum post. Within a few minutes the website will time out for me.
I confirmed it doesn't seem to be a server wide problem. I've tried ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, ipconfig /flushdns. I've tried deleting my cookies. None of that seems to make the behavior any better. I am using Chrome, fully updated, on Windows 11. The Lichess lag page says my ping is 149 milliseconds.
This is the only website where I notice any connection issues, can anyone explain what is likely going on, and give me any further possible troubleshooting steps?

I got that when I was running too many programs, and the disk paging was killing system performance. I also got it when my CPU was overheating; I had to replace thermal paste.

Those sound like completely separate issues, especially as my issue is only happening on Lichess. But thank you for contributing.

I am having the same issue, seems specific to Lichess. Time out errors every day, several times.

The real reason:
There are so many users on site, but only one hamster in a wheel to supply server with electricity. He gets tired sometimes and need to rest, sleep, eat and drink. Please be patient.
