Within analysis board, I see the following error whenever I check the opening explorer:
"Oops, sorry!
TypeError: Failed to fetch"
Is anyone else seeing this?

I can't access it via the mobile app either. Suspect it's just down.
Weirdly enough, the opening explorer wouldn't work on a blank board, but when I input the moves 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 I could see the masters data.
Changes have been made to restrict access to the opening explorer to mitigate DDoS attacks. Your browser is using a stale cache of the website. Clear cache for lichess on your browser and try again.
This also means the old app is no longer compatible with the opening explorer. You should download the new app (dark icon) instead.

I use Lichess on website (my browser is Microsoft Edge) and I have the same problem. I have cleared cookies
concerning Lichess, but it has not helped.
I had the problem, on my mobile for a while because it said it was not available.
Now I note I need an account to access it, and on my mobile I am often playing not logged in then want to analyse the game afterwards.
I can understand you might want to restrict it to having an account to prevent cheating, i.e. if I happened to be doing it during a live game on another device (is that why they required you to have an account to use it?) but it would certainly be better if they gave the actual reason on the mobile app.
By the way, I don't really like the new app with the dark icon, and it hasn't made lobby or other things available either. Not sure I can even watch games that easily on it.
