This has been asked many times, and AFAIK Lichess is not going to implement it.
On chess.com (where multiple premoves exist), a premove takes 0.1s. Here only a single premove is allowed, but premoves take no time. It has been this way for a long time, and changing it will cause a backlash...

I see no counter arguments on why a petition couldn't be made, that AFAIK is OP point.
IMHO Lichess should allow petition in general, if as you say a request is disliked (encounter the aforementioned backlash) simply the petition will not pass.

Petition - "a written document, signed by many people, that asks a government, etc. to do or change something."
IMHO Lichess should allow petition in general
Lichess doesn't forbid petitions. However I think if they really liked the idea, they would have implemented it much before, as this same request has been asked a ton of times. This makes me feel that the idea is not liked by Lichess. And IMHO, it is not a good idea either.

From the third thread #2, "This has been discussed before. There are no plans to add multiple premoves."

Yes I also believe that Lichess wouldn't like the idea.
My point is that even if Lichess is a charity it's still legally owned by few members and I accept that they run the infrastructure as it pleases them; it will be better if they rely more on feedback.
My opinion is that current situation is suboptimal (even if perfectly in their right), because many choices where choosen in the past, without discussion with the community.
Any tools that will improve ideas sharing between user base and people who lead the community IMHO it's a step in the right direction.

Nope.
Premoving costing no seconds is powerful enough.
