Complex scripts like that of Mandarin and even RTL scripts are accepted for naming tournaments(arena/swiss). Kannada is spoken by more than 40 million people. I hope I can name tournaments in Kannada one day.

Also, many Indian scripts are not accepted for naming tournaments. For example Hindi(500 million+ speakers) and Tamil(mother tongue of Viswanathan Anand and Praggnanandhaa). It is ironic considering a good chunk of Lichess users are from India.
