I have been on holiday abroad, where Ihad a much better internet connection, and since I am at home again, there are again troubles with my internet conbection. I can do nothing about it cause Idid not set it up.
Again I received rhose Lichess letters where they write that it might be a case of sandbagging - 1 minute before while trying to get on to the Lichess sire again after my inet conbection had broken, they wrote that my network blocks the Lichess assigns - this message I get very seldom and though I necer changed anything in between I could sometimes play without troubles.
But as Lichess explains that Sandbagging means to lose on öurpose to get a lower rating - who should act like this? Maybe ssomebody does not care about the rating or most of the people want to improve their rating! It would be completely irrational to lower one's own rating on purpose! It is quite boring to play against an opponent who is much weaker than you. Maybe if there would be money prizes involved, that some guys really act like this just cause they strive to get the money.
But why for God's sake should anyone repeatedly lose on purpose in games just for fun like here? I really wonder 1. which player would act like that, although there is no money involved at all 2. why for Lichess such an irrational behaviour seems at least even. Likely than to assume that a player has problems with the internet conbection?
Some people will sandbag to get into a lower-rated tournament. That is why there are anti-sandbagging measures.
I seriously don’t know why. Like their rating is high, they make it low, and then high again. So they are just back to where they started. So why all of that?
