too many black pieces

I played 4 consecutive rapid chess games on Lichess, and in 3 of them I played with black pieces (randomly, not challenging other players or friends).

This just happens from time to time. It is hard to avoid. As a simple example, consider that both players had Black in their two last games; one of them will have three blacks in a row now.

Same holds for White, but nobody complains...

You have also played 3 out of 4 rapid games as white before.

If you throw a coin 4 times, you have 50% chances of getting the same result 3 times or more.

However black will get a slight higher advantage in the ratings compared to white (only on lichess, since it uses Glicko-2).,

A short analysis of your games shows the following result.
Games in total: 2633
Games White: 1,406 games found
Games Black: 1,227 games found

The system attempts to balance the colors. In the near future, you can expect more games in which you play with the black pieces.
You can check the numbers with the advanced search in your profile.

3 games with same color in row is absolutely normal, I sometimes gets it in tournaments

3 in a row would be 3 out of 3, but OP said 3 out of 4.

And yes I think it's 50% chances of getting 3 out of 4, or 4 out of 4. Happy to see the reasoning behind 62.5% and admit I'm wrong.
