I would like to suggest a feature improvement for the Lichess mobile app regarding puzzles from specific openings (e.g., Caro-Kann, Vienna Game, etc.).
On the desktop website, players can choose which side they want to play when practicing puzzles from a specific opening. However, in the mobile app, this choice is missing. The app selects the side automatically, which makes it difficult to train a specific repertoire. For example, if I want to practice the Caro-Kann as Black, the app might still give me puzzles where I play as White.
Proposed Solution:
Add a toggle or selection menu in the mobile puzzle dashboard (specifically for opening-themed puzzles) that allows users to select:
Play as White
Play as Black
Random (Current default)
This would make the mobile training experience much more consistent with the web version and help players focus on their specific opening preparation.

@allidoislosee great post, I hope Lichess adds this feature to the app too. I’ve been waiting for it for a long time.
