Why clock don't sync after each move?

Why clock skew keep time to sync back?
It should cost nothing send server clock in each packet and update UI accordingly after each move.

Instead sometimes I see clock jump in split second as if there was just a disconnection, but the steady sequence of moves imply that if there was a disconnection was few moves ago and had effect only later.
I mean can't be a disconnection happening during a fast and steady exchange of moves, or at least not one that makes your clock jump suddenly, it should be a some kind of resynchronization.

I don't get the why of this design choice, when playing from browser
