AI slop is getting horrible on YouTube • page 2/3 • Off-Topic Discussion • lichess.org

It's not just the AI slop, their stupid AI enhancement has ruined a lot of videos. You try to play something in higher quality, 720p, 1080p, etc. doesn't matter -- because it's busy trying to artificially "fix" existing videos so that everything goes randomly blurry or has weird qualities to it...

I don't understand the obsession over AI in general tbh, it's a tool, do we need to squish it in everything?

There is no point in making AI generated slop on yt yet like every ad and lots of video's are made but it. (I wouldn't know cuz my whole video feed is minecraft stuff basically.) Or... all of us lichessians could unite and launch a strike against AI or something.. idk maybe we just need to pray somebody good comes as president and stops its growth

I think it will be like the internet. When it first came about, there was a huge bubble and everyone wanted in on the action. There was a ton of speculation about how it would end up. Eventually the bubble imploded and we used it for other things.
ChatGPT started as a fun little writing tool to churn out cute poems and cheat on your tests, and now we have agents capable of hacking into government systems and breaking out of containment.

Nah, AI videos should be banned on all social media, except for one platform where you can go to watch just AI videos.
Furthermore, this platform should not be used to train AI, as the absurd amount of misinformation would lead to more misinformation.

I'm a little tired of being presented with videos showing improbably behaving animals.

Oh,look! That mama wolf has written "help me" in the snow, and seems to want us to follow her!

She must have had a pup fall in a big hole, AGAIN this month -- and needs us to come rescue him!

But I'm not sure! Let's ask the parrot to explain the situation to us in perfect English!

I hope all will exercise an adult and sufficient caution when unwisely tempted to interact with animals that can actually rip out their throats and turn us into dinner -- or trample us underfoot -- even if the animals are, like, soooooooo cute. You know?
