Congratulations to BOTH Denver and Dallas

Okay the first of those two great NBA series just finished its first game and, sure enough, the series started out brilliantly.

A little 20-point comeback action, and the Knicks win in Boston's home ... in overtime.

Yeah, Brunson was a pretty good pickup.

Bunson and Anunoby lifted the Knicks, and Bridges apparently helped to carry them for ...51 minutes!

This should be a good series, sure enough. Even though Boston starts out with a disappointment.

Well. @Guitar09 , we're both pretty busy right now! :)

And in a grand finale, Denver wins! Oklahoma missed the free throws and the Nuggets hit the three! @Noflaps that was truly the best victory one can have!

WOW!

I mean ... WOW!

And if anything, the second of tonight's splendid basketball series game 1s was even MORE exciting.

The Nuggets fight back, on mighty OKC's home court, and win in the LAST FEW SECONDS when winning seemed almost like it would take a miracle.

Gordon showed he's clutch, yet again. Making a shot like that, to grab victory from the jaws of defeat as time is quickly running out ... that's championship, superstar stuff, that is!

The Thunder played as expected -- brilliantly -- but the gritty Nuggets, on only about one day's rest from the LONG, TOUGH previous series ... they hung in ...

and WON in the last few moments! They had been down -- even pretty far down -- most of the game. The final result actually seemed shocking.

This is why basketball playoffs are a must watch.

Okay, I'll calm down. Eventually. But that was damned exciting. And heartbreaking for Oklahoma fans, I assume. But they'll get their victories, too, I believe. It's going to be a good series, and Oklahoma is a wonderful team.

Keep in mind, this is the FIRST game Oklahoma has lost in this year's post season, so far. They're actually terrifyingly good and well coached. But it's the playoffs -- and surprise is no surprise.

Totally the best game I've watched. Did you watch March Madness @Noflaps?

Well, Cleveland's team is showing real heart so far tonight! Overcoming injury and bad luck is one of the best ways to show "heart."

So far, Cleveland's basketball heart is beating strong. They're way ahead! Can they keep it up until the end? Can Cleveland actually beat the Pacers, despite having so many star players injured? A little longer than a period to go.

EDIT: uh oh. 9:38 left. It's down to under a 10-point lead. Are the Indiana Pacers suddenly going to set the Pace?
Time to meditate and keep down that blood pressure.

EDIT: uh oh. Down to a 6-point lead. Meditation isn't working. I just remembered how undependable a large lead seems to be in the playoffs.

EDIT: oh oh. Down to a 4-point lead. 3 minutes left.

EDIT: about a minute and a half left -- this is becoming the War of the Free Throws! But then Strus shoots from way out .. bingo. NOW we might be seeing the light at the end of the stressful tunnel. It looks like Cleveland is going to hang on!

EDIT: But it's not over yet. Mitchell has been brilliant, but he's paid a price. Less than 30 seconds to go. We're down to a one-possession game; and

THERE IT GOES!!!!! Haliburton with the 3 !!!! The Pacers win! Just before the clock runs out!

Probably. It's hard to beat a team that's up by 20.
