I go to the local chemist to collect my prescriprion medication and before giving me my prescription the pharmacist proceeds to ask me my date of birth, so i tell them, then they ask where i live, of which i replied i would rather not say out aloud , so she then proceeded to read out aloud my entire address to the whole queue of people and gave me the prescription anyway!.
I mean this sort of data breaching just isn't right in my opinion.
Does anyone else here have any examples of their personal data being given out ?, (other than computer cookies etc), I'm refering more to real life. :)

It's amazing what personal documents you sometimes find on corporate networks - in easily accessible folders and without password protection, even though you are constantly being reminded about data protection.
For example, my former boss had a photo retouched for the company website - a gap in his receding hairline was magically “filled in.” Among my colleagues, the side-by-side comparison of the original photo and the retouched version caused quite a bit of laughter.

I have seen videos of data breaches at job centres too, where the person visiting is asked all manner of personal questions whilst there's other members of the public sat within earshot of them, i personally do not lile this kind of treatment of people. :)

At OP, there's no reason why she would have loudly told you your own address (especially when she already knew your feelings on the matter), unless she was just wanting to be an asshole about the situation. If she had done that to me, I'd have asked to speak to her superior, and then I'd have started looking for a new pharmacist.

I agree, but you know how it is in these situations in life, it just ends up making one stressed out for the rest of the day due to this kind of characters behaviour, plus the fish smells from the top down in these places. :)
