It's been days.
I still don't know what "Eid" is.
So I guess it didn't happen.

It happened. In some places yesterday in other places today.. Its the two festivals of islam. Eid ul fits (this one) and two months later it'll be eid ul adha. Eid ul fitr is after a month of dry fasting from subhe sadik(a little before sunrise) till sunset. Around that time wealthy people give zakaat, which is a donation. And in eid ul adha wealthy people sactrifice a COOOWWW (it can be a lot of other things like sheep, goat camel buffolo etc.) also around that time healthy and whealthy people do hajj. Which is a series of diffrent realigious activities. Most in makkah and madina (ksa). There are also more things associated with eid but i didn’t mention
Ah, thanks for the explanation, @Deshichele. I am familiar with the idea of the "hajj" or pilgrimage, but have never before heard the word "Eid."
I suppose I should say "seasons greetings," too. So ... seasons greetings! Or whatever other celebratory salutation is culturally appropriate.
