Rock on, @fowgre. Farmers (as your profile seems to indicate that you are) rule! And nowadays farmers tend to be among the wisest and more literate and more practically educated among us all.

I doubt that you're the oldest player on Lichess -- but that DID seem to be the question, rather than an ask for the most longstanding Lichess user.

There appear to be people who have been here for ten years or more. I wish I could claim that status, but ten years ago another fine chess server held my loyalty.

But having switched to Lichess, I've never looked back. Lichess runs as well as the average farm -- which is to say very well, even if it doesn't bury itself in revenue.

Lichess is a farm of sorts -- it grows young minds toward proficiency.
