Okay, this has been driving me nuts lately. I don't mean any offense to @kind_Panda (honestly, I think this all started because he has a great username, rather than any misbehavior on his part) but something needs to be said. I think I've touched on this in the past, but now it's lecture time.

Forums are for shared discussion with a wide range of people.

Typically, the following aren't going to make the forums better:
Threads about a certain user
Threads that are designed for an exclusive subgroup of the forum users to engage in small talk
Threads that don't encourage discussion.

Over the past few weeks, I've seen a mind boggling number of threads about Kind Panda, and they all seem to be from a relatively small group of kids. I've also seen other people complaining about this.

Flooding threads about one person is not what the off-topic is for. If there are some people who want to make a bunch of threads for inside jokes and comments about one person, I suggest making a kind_panda team. Otherwise, you're going to get some mighty annoyed people, which will lead to flame wars. I've seen it happen before. Hell, I'm the resident lichess flame war expert, if we're being honest.

I shouldn't have to be the one saying this. I get that this is not a case of malicious, or even intentional, rulebreaking, but mods should let people know when spam is spam-- otherwise, kids get encouraged to spam more. Mods don't have to ban people-- this is a perfect opportunity for a simple "heads up" to nip the situation in the bud.
