Identity of terrorist who tried to recreate 9/11 attack in Tel-Aviv revealed

The identity of the man who attempted to crash a plane on 30 September 2026 has been revealed. He is 29-year-old Omani national Hamam al-Hammami, the co-pilot of Flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Al-Hammami attacked the captain, Indian citizen Smit Machchhar, in the cockpit with a crash axe and tried to bring down the Boeing 737. According to investigators, he planned to crash the aircraft into Ben Gurion Airport or a high-rise building in Tel Aviv, following the pattern of the September 11 attacks.

The plane suddenly lost more than 5,000 metres of altitude. The wounded captain managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew to rush in, overpower the attacker and regain control. The aircraft landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, and the passengers were later flown to Israel. UAE authorities have officially classified the incident as an attempted terrorist attack.

Passenger Yaniv Hayun played a key role in saving the plane: he stormed the cockpit, overpowered the terrorist and pulled the control yoke towards himself, stopping the aircraft’s steep dive. Several other Israelis helped him — Tzvika Manes, Asaf Rajuan and Shota Musayev. All the heroes were congratulated by President Isaac Herzog, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally met with Yaniv Hayun.

Been following tt story. Apparently a lack of vetting and he never should have been on the plane, not even as a passenger much less a copilot.
Man i really don't understand all this hate,so much violence in the name of Allah, not to say that the river doesn't flow both ways and i can understand both viewpoints to a degree
Really man,Israel is threated with annihilation yet there is the Palestinian issue which i can sympathize with somewhat though they are rather manipulated by outside interests for their own ends.
Idk i can't pretend to understand the complexities of the issues though i do hope for a peaceful resolution someday.
Dreams in the wind i guess.

"i do hope for a peaceful resolution"

  • A peaceful resolution a.k.a. the Two State Solution is only possible if Netanyahu loses the elections.
Ehud Olmert proposed a viable plan: a Palestinian State in Gaza and the West Bank, a corridor between both, and an international status for Jerusalem as the cradle of 3 religions.

"how did the Arabs react to it?"

  • Olmert proposed it to Mahmoud Abbas in private and asked him to sign it for agreement.
Mahmoud Abbas said he needed to study it first, but he was not allowed to take the proposal with him.
Shortly thereafter Olmert was removed from power.
