Well the earth is only 4.5 billion years old, and the universe is 13.8 billion years old, so time must have begun at least 13.8 billion years ago. And "we" as in homo sapiens have been around much less than that, and "we" as in everyone on the Lichess forums have been around even less. So we haven't really been falling around the sun since time began, regardless of your definition of "we."
Fun fact: if the Earth disappeared it would take you about 2 months to fall into the Sun
