It's Battle Time - Choose Your Sword of Choice

I mean, if the sword user is actually skilled, I still don't see Kung fu beating a sword that easily :p

If the sworder, how skilled s/he is does not have a shield or an armor, the Kung-fu master can have equal chances.

First the sworder has to be unskilled, and now no armor or shield? :/ What else? :p

Armor slows you down (can weigh up to 65 pounds) and hinders your sight.

You've removed so many advantages that the sworder is basically a free win at this point... ;p

Late 14th-century Men-at-Arms had less armor pieces than late 15th-century knights. So, they had a metal breastplate, greaves, and arm protections, but not the full articulated Milanese plate armor. At first glance, it seems heavy, but the weight of the armor is reparted on different parts of the body, not only in the back/torso. So, even with the plates, a medieval Men-at-Arms is still lithe to make quick movement. The only difficulty was to move in a muddy area (Azincourt, Poitiers), or under the heat in summer (battle of Verneuil)

And as I mentioned, the sword was not longer very effective against such armor, except with the moves I mentioned. Regarding the helmet, a bassinet with a "mezail" (bird beak), is confortable enough, notably for breathing due to the form of this type of helmet. The other thing is that the visor can be removed or moved to the top of the helmet.

Phillipino knife fighters (arnis/eskrima/kali) wrecked the Spanish in their full plate armor with large swords oftentimes utilizing their superior dexterity & agility, they often cut at the wrists and then moved on, because what good were they in all their armor if they couldn't hold a sword.

To this day philipinos remain basically the only really serious knife fighters in the world

I fight like a man.No sword needed.I will fist fight

What if like my sword has the power to curl itself around my body to form a armor.

And then lets just add little swords, all at different length and width to stick out of the armor. Good luck beating me with your bare fist.
