Trump isn't remotely crazy, and he's far brighter, more experienced, more educated and more mature than some of his constant, obviously political critics in the media.

I gotta say, you're kinda right, even though I don't really take sides. He's powerful and he won't be weak compared to others in the past. He's got experience from his last term, and he's quite the president. When there is a leader there will always be haters, and then you gotta drag @Noflaps into these political topics.

What's the context? I believe Trump was saying that he could take them to court or seek some penalty for their dirty tactics and lawfare, but he went on to say that this would be bad for the presidency. Was that it?

They do care, they're livid - but they're not willing to put their lives on the line yet,
there needs to be a really serious digression before people would do that, and if they seriously undermine the midterms - I think we will see that. Otherwise let democracy run its course.
