Ꝃoramara's first space mission

The Kingdom of Ꝃoramara celebrates the success of the first astronautical mission of its history.

Yesterday, following more than two days in orbit as part of the Bacchus 1 mission, Irvon Garvino returned to Earth. The astronaut had been chosen randomly from a rigorous selection process conducted in the country's pubs. It was aboard an extraordinary terrestrial space capsule, a technological achievement for Ꝃoramara — that Irvon was launched into the cosmos. Upon his return, he reported a major scientific discovery : beer is not subject to weightlessness, nor, for that matter, any other elements in his capsule. As an expert on the subject, Irvon remarked that any spaceship experiencing weightlessness must surely be poorly constructed. A few hours into the mission, Irvon made anotger remarkable discovery, for humanity, this time :

an encounter of the third kind.

He claims a humanoid creature attempted to manipulate his mind by trying to convince him that he was drunk. "I wasn't drunk," he said. And as quoted the astronaut said the following, — "because I actually saw the creature." Another creature allegedly made him consume a strange herbal tea, remining of chamomile, ginger, and fennel, (after what Irvon said) before placing him back inside his capsule. Fortunately, our Ministry of Free Time generously sponsored the mission, and thanks to his own exceptional strength, Irvon managed to keep safe his supply of chips and beer. Following his orbit, Irvon expressed great delight regarding the mission and his contribution to the advancement of humanity.

Ad astram, ad Vinam.

This remarkable achievement gave way to mass celebrations in the Groland presipauty. Moments of tension arised when its president Emmanuel Micron, wasted after his sixth bottle of champagne, dared his defense minister to launch some of Groland ballistic missiles towards Paris ("Groville is much better anyway!" was he heard saying), but fortunately was too drunk to enter the red codes and fell asleep before harm could be done.

Some of the brightest presipauty's minds contributed in their own way to the celebrations:

  • Groland scientists and engineers, using the cutting-edge GPS (Groland Positioning System), determined that Irvon Garvino underwent an acceleration of 1000^0 g
  • Groland ancient greek scholars proposed that after astronauts, spationauts, cosmonauts and taikonoauts, Irvon Garbino should be declared the first methynaut
  • Groland latin scholars proposed a corrected and improved version of the Bacchus 1 mission motto: ad astra et atra, "to the stars and red (wines)"

All hail the great Kingdom of Koramara!

The Kingdom of Ꝃoramara is delighted to be able to continue working pint in pint with the presipauty. As reminded by the Researcher in approximate science Areristeride Ferfelimand, this is an achievement worthy of a toast. A space station is also under development to accelerate cooperation between states, despite the refusal of San Marino and Liechtenstein.
