Religion is weird

As someone who is atheist it’s very strange for me that religions even exist. All the different religions with all the different beliefs. I’ve always believed that everything makes perfect sense and anything that doesn’t make sense just means that you don’t understand it and have more to learn. Religion is just a weird concept to me

It seems to me that you don't understand religion since you think it is weird. Maybe you have more to learn?

Religion exists because that was what helped humans understand the world and adapt to our surroundings. They helped people early on to create groups with the linking factor of religion and even helped to facilitate the spread of technologies and the knowledge that we have today.

As for all the different religions, it is because we all have such different mindsets and beliefs. Also, we didn't all start and develop in the same place, so of course we had such different perceptions of the world and our place in it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in being an atheist, nor is there fault in following a certain religion. It is just a matter of mindset and belief. If you still find it weird, I think you should do some research on the topic. In my opinion, it is very interesting, and there is a lot we can learn about religion and its effects on society, whether good or bad. It doesn't have to make perfect sense, as long as you have a basic understanding!

It's not weird at all, just a tool that the ruling class uses to hold its subjects together. Every other means of ruling faces the difficulty of persuading or influencing its subjects, but religion is the easiest, since deity is just by definition correct, no need for any energy in arguments

I have no problem whatsoever with someones personal religion ( within bounds of course).

It does seem to me that organized religion is generally a bad thing.Power, Control,Religious wars of all things.
I do not think that is the will of God at all but rather a perversion of religion to the needs of those who seek control of the masses.

People believe in many different things without doubts. Everything can be used as a kind of religion. Including democracy or communism.
