@Noflaps
Yep,detached retina so i talk to the surgeon in an hour. Hope we can wait a few days at least. I do have bills to pay and food to buy.
This'll be my seventh surgery. Man i was hoping to never have to have another one.
Oh well, so it goes...

Have you considered contacts ? I wore them for years. Nice to have the peripheral vision though they can be heck on a windy dusty day.

Surgery tends to show up when we least expect it or need the disruption. But show up it does.
Fortunately, medical science has gotten MUCH better than when we were kids.
Good luck, dude: I'll keep you and the doc in my prayers. Not that I'm a saint, of course, so I'm not pretending to much influence. But you're already worthy of the help, so my lack of influence shouldn't be crucial.

There's always tthe classic tortise shell ;).
Progressive bifocald are good if you need them.
I might steer clear of the autodarkening,had them once and the coating crazed ( tt could just be the Arizona sun)
Over at the eye clinic myself right now.
Probably have a detaching retina.
I had the auto darkening ones before - drove me nuts. They would remain too dark under inside artificial lighting. Frame optician shop gave me a break, remade new ones without charging me.

Contacts were cool, I tolerate the eyeglasses better.

May I have your suggestions about frames. Silly and serious would be highly appreciated.
:)
Make sure you choose well, i badly wanted to see like normal people to point I couldn’t wait for the frame shop to restock, the frame i ended up choosing was for old men.. and I cant resize the lense cuz the frame was tiny and ugly .. now im stuck with these for a while

That is so true. My prescription is strong. One technician wisely said I should think about how a larger frame may not look so good on my face due to the strong prescription.
